 Service

Something doesn't seem right with your wheel?  We want to help you get back out there as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please see the steps below to determine what to do next. In most cases, the best first stop is your local bike shop to save time and cost in shipping. However, if your bike shop cannot help you, please contact us.

 Step 1: Diagnosis

Please check the links to help diagnose the issue and determine next steps.

      • - Rim damage. Did you hit something hard? Is your wheel suddenly out of true? See link.
      • - Broken Spoke. See link.
      • - Wheel out of true. Does your wheel appear not straight or round? See link.
      • - Hub service. Does your wheel have a rough or loose feel when spinning?  See link.
      • - Routine Maintenance. Do you maintain your bike? We love you.  See link.

Step 2: ID your wheels and locate your serial number

Identifying your wheel model and year, as well as locating your serial number, will help you get the right parts and service

        • - ID Road or Tandem wheels. See link
        • - ID Mountain or Gravel/ Adventure wheels. See link
        • - Locate serial number. On newer wheels, the serial number is on the spoke bed between the valve hole and the first set of spokes. This is easily visible. On older wheels, the serial number may be next to the valve hole in the tire well. To see the serial number on older wheels, you will need to remove tire, tube and rim strip.

Step 3: Visit your local bike shop

The best first stop is your local bike shop. This saves you the cost and time of shipping to us. If your bike shop cannot provide the service you need, go to Step 4.

Step 4: Set up a Return Authorization [RA#]

If sending the wheel to us is the best next step, please fill out the Return Authorization Form to set up an RA. This allows us to get all of your contact and service information in advance. We will contact you with a RA#. Remember, you are responsible for the cost of shipping the wheels to and from Rolf Prima. Check out Bike Flights for better than average shipping rates.

Step 5: Ship the wheel(s) to us

        • - Make sure the RA # is visible on outside of box. Do not ship without an RA #.
        • - Help speed up the service time on your wheels. Please remove tire, tube, cassette, quick release and anything else before sending to us.  We will not be responsible for these items if they come back with the wheel.
        • - Pack and ship wheels to us. Please see our Wheel Packing tips. Pack the wheel(s) well, but please do not use "peanuts".
