hubset: Dauphine wheel systems orbit around the TdF3.4 proprietary hub, designed and manufactured in the USA. The front hub features a unique 85mm wide flange placement which increases lateral wheel stiffness by nearly 20%. Patented Differential Flange Diameter™ on the rear hub lends a mechanical advantage effectively doubling the number of functional pulling spokes; increasing wheel durability. CNC machined, black anodized hub shells with over sized axles provide high strength, stiffness and light weight. Optimized flange contours provide full spoke elbow support, increasing spoke life. Hubs also feature precision cartridge bearings with low drag supplementary contact seals and bearing preload adjustment on both front and rear hub shells.

freehub mechanism: CNC machined Titanium freehub body has 3 sprung steel pawls for a bomb-proof torque transfer system. Pawls are driven by 3 hardened steel leaf springs. The system is strong, simple and dependable.

rims: The Dauphine rim is a single cavity, semi-aero rim profile with a narrow spoke bed to minimize weight. The rims are 23mm tall with CNC-machined brake sidewalls for smooth, consistent braking performance.

spoke & nipple: Black, 14 / 17 gauge custom butted profile spokes with wrench flats. Internal alloy nipples minimize rotating mass and contribute to quicker accelerating, faster climbing wheels. Patented, Self Aligning Nipple™ design significantly increases spoke fatigue life. Self-locking thread technology ensures wheels stay true longer.

extras: Rolf Prima Dauphine wheel systems include custom reinforced rim tape and steel quick release skewers.
