Skyler Trujillo finishes strong at Cross Worlds
Hosted in Tabor, Czech Republic, the 2010 Cross World Championships was a treacherous icy and snowy course with sunny skies above. After placing third at Cross Nationals in Bend, Oregon, this past December, Rolf Prima’s sponsored athlete, Skyler Trujillo made the trip to Tabor to represent the USA Junior team.
With a frozen course, crashes were unavoidable and Trujillo conditioned to riding in the snow from Colorado was not immune to the elements. With a total of seven crashes throughout his race, Trujillo fought to keep in contention, but lost precious time with each crash. Finishing as the fourth American, Trujillo took a 53rd place finish for the day, completing his 2009 cross season.
