Elan Aero RS - A Tougher Lightweight Category Wheel
Rolf Prima has continued their custom frame builders approach to building bicycle wheels by offering a new lightweight category model called Elan Aero RS. Since no single wheel model is appropriate for every type of rider, Rolf Prima has tailored its popular Elan Aero wheel system to better suit riders looking for added impact strength and wheel stiffness in a lightweight category wheel.
A front and rear-specific rim design and spoke specification give the Elan Aero RS more rim toughness and lateral stiffness than the standard Elan Aero model. An excellent choice for climbing and performing more aggressive maneuvers on road courses and criteriums, the Elan Aero RS rivals the weight of most carbon clincher wheels on the market today.
The Elan Aero RS gives serious riders a second option in the lightweight wheel category. The added rim toughness and lateral stiffness pushes the recommended rider weight to 200 lbs.
