Rubicon-Orbea – Men's Pro – Cycling Team
The Portland based professional cycling team Rubicon-Orbea, will race on Rolf Prima wheels for the 2010 race season. The team will be riding the Echelon, Vigor, Carbon TdF38 and Carbon TdF58 wheel sets. The Rubicon-Orbea team rides to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation and two core missions; raising funds and awareness for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and developing young and coming cyclists from all over the globe. Currently the team has athletes from the U.S., New Zealand, Australia and Canada.
Founded in 2001, the Rubicon-Orbea team is the dream of team owners David and Norrene Godfrey, as a way to give back to the community. The Rubicon-Orbea team rides in support for all those who have been affected by cancer in any way and asks everyone to unite together, LIVESTRONG and fight the disease. Each year the team raises funds for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and each year the team gives away it's spot in the Portland LIVESTRONG Challenge to a cancer survivor.
With Van Uden's last years win at the Tour of the Gila, in the downtown criterium, the Rubicon-Orbea team is going to be the team to keep your eye on this race season.
